The Celts: in an island fastness was unveiled in December 2009. The dedicated embroiderers who started it in 2005 had mixed feelings when it came off the frame last year.

Ann Duggan, Angela Dunne, Tess Dunphy, Avril Harvey, Gillian Hearn, Patricia Jones, Mary Kidd, Mary McDonald, Margaret O'Dowd, Phillipa Pearson, Peggy Rossiter, Eithne Scallan, Josehpine Carey, Ann Kierans, Niamh Tierney, Charlotte Warham Joy Fletcher and Mary Somers at two different locations in Wexford. It was started at the home of Phil & Peter Pearson in Crossabeg and was moved to Johnstown Castle for it's completion.
