Visit the Ros Tapestry in it’s permanent Exhibition Centre

After ten years in the making this permanent exhibition of the magnificent embroidered Ros Tapestry is now open to public viewing on a daily basis in a dedicated exhibition centre on the Quay in New Ross, County Wexford.

The dramatic story of Ireland's romantic Norman past unfolds as this tale told in thread brings a significant part of Irish heritage to life through the depiction of the Normans arrival to the South East of Ireland and the consequential development of the dynamic Port of Ros in a visually enthralling setting.

This unique attraction is an exciting blend of innovative design that is an experience to be treasured. Visitors can browse through the fascinating historical resource at their leisure or with a guide, view a tapestry in the making first-hand or spend time in the design-oriented gift shop.

Location: The Ros Tapestry is located in a blue building, 30 metres opposite the Dunbrody Famine Ship in the direction of the Wexford N25. Parking is available at the Dunbrody Famine Ship or in Lidl car park with pedestrian entrance accessed from the street.

Directions to Ros Tapestry

Wexford: From Wexford town take the N25 to New Ross. Approaching New Ross town, drive straight through ring road roundabouts, passing the Brandon House Hotel on the right. *Approximately 500m from the Hotel, the Ros Tapestry is situated on the right immediately after Lidl.

Enniscorthy: Take N30 to New Ross (approximately 32 kms). Turn left at Mannions pub following the ring road into New Ross town. Approaching New Ross town, with the river on your left pass the Brandon House Hotel on the right. *Approximately 500m from the Hotel, Ros Tapestry is situated on the right immediately after Lidl.

Waterford: Take the N25 to New Ross. Cross the bridge into New Ross and turn right at the roundabout. Pass the Dunbrody Ship on the right hand side. Ros Tapestry is approximately 100m from the Dunbrody on the left hand side.

Kilkenny: Take the R700 from Kilkenny through Thomastown to New Ross. Cross the river at the Ferry Bridge and turn right towards New Ross. Turn left at Mannions pub following the ring road into New Ross town. Approaching New Ross town, with the river on your left pass the Brandon House Hotel on the right. *Approximately 500m from the Hotel, Ros Tapestry is situated on the right immediately after Lidl.
